In this project, you get to play around with the filters in Photoshop and learn what each of them do. Your design doesn't have to look exactly like mine, but you should have at least one image (feel free to use more) that you can apply various filters to.

Create your own Soda Pop Bottle Label. Here are the objectives and directions:
Content Objective: Using Photoshop Elements, I will be able to imagine and design a full-color, full size, two-liter bottle label for a soft drink of my invention. I will apply design principles to my work

- Apply the Principles of Design. How can I arrange the elements on my page in a way that will create things like balance, unity, rhythm, pattern, movement, and emphasis (principles of design)?
- Apply Text Style, Treatment, and Position. Is the style and treatment of my text appropriate for the theme of the soda pop bottle label? Is the text positioned appropriately on the Soda label?
- Demonstrate effective use of the tools in Adobe Photoshop Elements.
- You will explain how you used at least 2 elements/principles of design.
- You will explain how you used type style, treatment, and position in your design
- You will explain how you used tools in Adobe Photoshop Elements.
- Provide the website of any images you used in this document.
Other Instructions:
- The soda pop bottle label is your original idea and design. In other words, the design is of your own imagination (it does not already exist).
- You may use 1 or 2 small images from the Internet to complement your design, but your main idea should come from you.
- Dimensions: 13 in X 5.5 in -- 300 resolution
- The pop bottle has the appearance of a professionally and commercially prepared product.
- Include a UPC code, nutrition information, and other information that would be appropriate for a pop bottle label.

Me and Me
To create the "Me and Me" design, you would want to take 2 pictures (unless both pictures are going to be identical) and then use Photoshop to put them together.

- The CD cover/label is your original idea and design. You may use 1 or 2 small images from the Internet to complement your design, but your main idea should come from you. Use Photoshop to create backgrounds and apply filters and effects (such as blur & opacity).
- Your CD cover is designed for an 4.75 x 4.75” design space. Your resolution should be 300. Use the CD Label template provided by the instructor.
- You will explain how you used at least 2 elements/principles of design. You will also explain how you used type style, treatment, and position in your CD cover/label. You may type this in a separate page and submit it with your cd cover/label. Also, provide the website of any images you used in this document.
- The final product has the look of a professionally and commercially produced design.
